Health Insurance

Health insurance is provided through Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama. Employees can choose to be covered by either a PPO or High Deductible Plan. Prescription, dental and vision coverage are all included with both policies. Coverage for eligible employees begins after 90 days of employment.


401(k)

Eligible employees can join the 401(k) plan on the first day of the month following 90 days of employment. The company provides a generous match of employee contributions. A wide variety of funds, including target date funds, are available. The plan also offers managed account services.


Paid Time Off

Employees are awarded PTO based on their years of service with the company. Employees will start the year with a specific number of PTO days and then accrue additional PTO at the beginning of the month. Unused PTO can be rolled over to the following year.

Newly hired employees will accrue one PTO day on the first day of the month following the month of employment and will continue to accrue one PTO day per month for the remainder of the year. Monthly and annual accrual amounts increase in future years according to the employee’s length of service.

Some divisions have different PTO accrual policies.


Long Term Disability Insurance

LTD is provided by the company after one year of employment. If a covered employee has been disabled for 90 days, this benefit provides partial wage replacement.


Life/AD&D Insurance

Company-provided life and AD&D insurance is available to eligible employees after 90 days of employment. The amount of the benefit is determined by the employee’s salary or job classification.

Included with this benefit is access to the Employee Assistance Plan which provides free, confidential phone counseling services on topics such as depression, marital and family conflicts, grief, stress and addiction.
