SRT Transportation Solutions recently completed the transport of a 650,000 lb. transformer and 840,000 lb. generator. The units moved on both Norfolk Southern and CSX in the eastern U.S. for delivery to a new power plant. The generator shipment required the use of a shiftable-deck railcar with SRT operators maneuvering the 15-foot-wide load past obstructions.
